Who We Are

The Indo-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry was established in 1985, registered under the Companies Act, 1956, as an institutional bridge between Indian and African businesses — a body built to turn a shared history and complementary economies into working trade, investment, and technology partnerships.

That mandate hasn't changed in four decades, even as the opportunities it points to have: identifying where Indian and African businesses can cooperate, and then doing the unglamorous work of making it happen — structuring joint ventures, clearing the path for technology transfer, and keeping trade moving even when the surrounding relationship gets complicated.

IACCI has also taken on a wider brief over the years: helping Indian enterprise participate in African economic development directly, from manpower and skills exchange to construction and project exports, rather than treating the relationship as trade in goods alone.

None of that works from behind a directory listing. IACCI operates with a real, multi-city presence across India — a network of member businesses that grew alongside it, and a leadership that has kept the institution accountable to the relationship it was built to serve.
